This is the first album digi pack which I am looking at. I have chosen James Blunt, as he fits in with the same genre as the Alex Lloyd song which we are using for our music video, as they both create similar music, and aim there music at the same target audience. The front cover of this album, looks very simplistic, from a distance, however, the image of James Blunt has been made up of several images of other people. This works really well to link with the name of the album which is "Lost Souls" by showing a variety of people on the front cover representing the "lost souls". However, the album still promotes the artist, by still showing the an extreme close up of the artists face on the front cover, yet still linking him to the album and song name. The background for this digipack is quite dark, as the several dark images of people make up the face of the artist on the front cover, and the black background on the back, still showing some images of "lost souls". The use of dark colours make the bright red stand out really well from the dark surroundings. White text is then used on the back of the album for the list of songs, which also stands out really well from the surroundings making it easy to read and to distinguish from its surroundings. I really like the font used throughout this album digipack. The text used in the front cover includes a variety of fonts for each letter. This makes the text stand out really well from its surroundings, attracting the buyers attention and selling the name of the artist instantly by having it printed on the front cover in large letters. However, the text used for the album title and the songs listed on the back of the album are much more simplistic, as they need to be clear to the consumer of this product. This product maintains a house style throughout, with the use of colours, included in the font, and images. It also maintains a house style by using the images of several people more than once, as this is shown on the front cover as well as on the back.
Adaptions from this digipack:From my research of this digipack, I have gained the idea that the artist must be included on the front cover of the album. Similarly, I also believe it is important for the artist to have eye contact with the camera, as the album is to promote the artist and their songs, therefore the artist is of key importance when selling this product. Also, by looking at this album, I have realised that the font must be clear and stand out extremely well from the background and images in order to attract the target audience.

Ed Sheeran:
I also researched Ed Sheeran, and his albums which have been recently released last year. The front cover of his album is very simplistic, as a close up image of the artist. The whole image has an orange colour effect placed over it which emphasizes the artists ginger hair, and what how he is recognised. This is a very simplistic, yet very effective album cover, as it will remain memorable to its target audience, by representing Ed really well. This has been used effectively throughout the promotion and advertising of the artist. The orange text is always used in adverts and on the merchandise, retaining a house style, with all that is linked with the artist, making their products noticeable, and easy to distinguish from other artists products. The artists products are also reacognised with the animal paw print which is shown on his products such as the merchandise t shirt, and wrist band, as well as being shown on singles which he has released. These all contribute to maintaining a house style for the artists work, and to gain a link with the target audience, to help the artist remain memorable to their target audience.
Adaptions from research of this digipack: By looking at this digipack, I have realized how important the house style is, in order to attract the attention of the target audience, and to maintain their interests,
