Day four of filming

Tuesday 25th January:

Today, Emily, Charlie and Megan came over mine to film some "happy memories" together, and to film Megan's part alone in the bedroom. We chose to film these parts in my house, as we wanted to show the happy memories, in a variety of places, both in the home and out doors. As we had already filmed the happy memories in the park, we thought this would be the perfect place to film some more. Below are some of the images of shots I took when filming

The above images were taken whilst filming. I chose to take these, as they may be used for digi pack as well as for the advertisement of this album. We also filmed the arguement between the "couple" today which was set in my mums room. We chose to use this room as it had a good source of natural light, as well as being quite a spacious room, making it a lot easier to film in compared to my much smaller room.

PROBLEMS: We came across a few problems when filming today, one of which was when filming in my room we found it to be far too dark, and far to small a room to film in. However, we over come this issue by moving the setting into my mums room which was a lot more spacious and had much better source of light. We also had a few problems with the characters expressing their emotions, especially Megan when it came to the crying scene. We done our best to make her angry and show her emotions in front of the camera however, we may have to re film this part later on after receiving some feedback on what our target audience think.

day three of filming

Tuesday 24th January:

Here is our list of footage which we still need to collect:

Today we filmed the main part of the music video, which took part up London. Emily, Charlie and I headed up to London on the trains to begin the filming. First we headed up to South Bank, where we found the best graffiti location. Here, we filmed a location shot, using the tripod in order to create a pan of the area. I think this will look really good when edited and placed into the music video, as it will introduce the area, instead of the main character just appearing there. Again, the tripod was of great use for this as it would have looked awful if we had just free handed this part of filming. Here are some of the images which I took, or the area:

We filmed the parts with Charlie here, thinking, and reminiscing on the memories he had with his girlfriend (Megan) good and bad. So most of these shots here were of him "thinking" and in "deep thought". The image below is also a possibility for the front cover of the CD or poster for our next task. Therefore this image will be kept for later. I really enjoyed filming in this area as it was secluded. I also really liked the bright and vibrant colours from the graffiti, it was so good, it was hard to decide where to film because all areas looked perfect for the filming.

Today we also filmed the crowed part with Charlie standing still in the middle of a crowed as the public pass by. The tripod was used for the filming of this, which came is great use to use, as neither Emily or I had a steady hand for the filming, making it difficult to keep the camera in the same place for such a long period of time. Using the tripod made it so much easier to film for a long period of time without camera movement.

PROBLEM: This became quite difficult as in some areas there was not enough people passing by, leaving Charlie standing there alone, which was not the idea which we was aiming for. However, we decided to change location to a much busier place, where a lot more people were passing by. Although we did get a few funny looks, we got the footage which we needed, and quite a lot of it, meaning that we have a lot to chose from when it comes to the editing.

Saturday 14th January:

I was unable to make filming today due to work commitments. However, Emily, Charlie and Megan headed to Dartford park in order to film the "Happy memories" for the music video.
Emily done well to collect plenty of footage of the both of them, showing both happy memories and bad. Below are some images from the footage which Emily collected:

After speaking to Emily about todays filming, she infromed me that it went really well, and she thinks she got some good footage and plenty of it, which sounds great!

PROBLEM: Emily did say she found it difficult to film the both of them argueing as at first it was pretty awkward. However, she also said that Charlie done well to break the ice, and relax Megan. After that, the filming was much better after they had both relaxed and were not so nervous which I am really happy about.

first day of filming

Wednesday 11th January:
Today we filmed at the train station in Bexley. Charlie was free today so we decided to film a small part which he was involved in for the video, as the majority of the video will be filmed in London . Today we filmed the part in front of the train with Charlie, which he done
really well not fall on the tracks! We decided to film Charlie standing infront of the train as it passes, for quite a long time, because we plan to speed this part up when editing the video.

Here are the other images of Charlie, which I took whilst we was filming. We plan to possibly use these images when creating the CD cover and poster for the promotion of this music video. We chose this area as the main character (charlie) seems alone and secluded from society and his surroundings. Similarly, I believe this image has the potential to be a really good image for the front cover of the CD or the poster, when we begin to create these later on.

We also filmed the part of which the main character, is slowly coming closer to the camera whilst coming down the stairs.
PROBLEM:It was quite difficult to keep the camera still and some parts looked a little off side and he did not remain in the centre frame throughout. Therefore, this part will most probably be re filmed.
