making the front cover

We chose to use this image for the front cover of the album based on these positives:
  • The surrounding scenery and background both Emily and I really liked, and thought that the scenery would link really well with the genre of the music as well as the artist and the songs which he has created, as they are very calm pleasant songs, similar to this scenery.
  • The full body shot, of the artist, showing his whole body means that the customer and potential buyer will automatically recognise him when looking at this album cover. This means that the album cover will promote the artist.
  • The artist is included in the image, which means that the customer will recognise the album and link it to the artist.
  • The clothing he is wearing here, purposely links to the indie genre, making the album more attractive to its target audience.
Whilst I was working on the back cover, Emily was working on the front. Here is the print screen of her editing the image very similar to the way in which I edited the back cover, in i photo. We decided on this image because we really liked the background scenery which is shown behind Charlie.
